About Life on Life Curriculum

  • Life on Life curriculum brings holistic Christian-based transformation in children’s lives through spiritual formation, character development and life skills. Each quarter consists of four lessons in each focus area and a celebration lesson at the end.

Spiritual Formation – Children are transformed as they learn what it means to love and follow Jesus as a child of the heavenly Father through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Character Development – Children are encouraged to develop character qualities in response to a right relationship with God so that change is internally motivated.

Life Skills – Children learn valuable life skills that help them grow as healthy members of the family of God and society, while preparing them for life as adults.

Each lesson runs approximately 50 minutes in length and is divided into short sections for easy teaching.

The Focus on… section gives teachers an overview of what the lesson will cover and the suggested supplies.

A Teacher Devotion gives more context and encourages teachers to confidently deliver the lesson.

The Family Connection section helps teachers and students connect with families and expands the learning beyond the classroom.

Connecting is the first main section of the lesson time with students and gives students a chance to understand a common situation form their everyday lives.

Teaching is the section of the lesson when the teacher really explains the concepts to be learned in each lesson.

Responding gives students a chance to reflect on what they’ve learned and consider ways to include their new understanding in their lives.

Finally, each lesson ends with an online worship song.

Each lesson links to a downloadable ZIP file which contains all of the resources necessary for teaching the lesson. Digital resources in the ZIP file include:

  • Teacher Lesson Guide/Script
  • Student Pages
  • Family Connection Card
  • Memory Verse Poster
  • Teacher Devotion audio file
  • Additional Resources (images, articles, etc.)
